First of all thanks for visiting SimonMorel.com, great to see you.
I'm a Sydney based artist with 2 solo CDs released, 'Songs from the City' and 'Record #2'. I'm in the process of working on my third release and I'll let you know when that all happens....

In addition to the guitar slinging for other indie artists I also teach guitar at my home studio in Leichhardt, NSW. For more onfo on that, click the Guitar Lessons tab in the menu bar above.
Something else I've been up to over the last few years is a venture called The Record Factory (www.TheRecordFactory.com.au). The aim of the company is to provide free advice and contacts to music artists looking to record, master, manufacture and promote their own release. | Expect nothing less than sweet British guitar based indie-pop from the second LP from Australian based, but British born singer- songwriter Simon Morel
Simon’s second record, intelligently dubbed ‘Record #2’ is a guitar led Brit-rock inspired record- think everything from Teenage Fanclub to UK Squeeze- where Morel has channelled 60s PowerPop and combined it with story based songwriting. Produced by Michael Carpenter ‘Record #2’ is available in stores throughout Australia via MGM distribution.

Simon Morel has a music career that stretches over the last 15 years, having played the UK university circuit in a variety of bands from a mid 90s pop combo to a 12 piece funk orchestra.
A regular of the Sydney indie pop live scene, Simon has played at various Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Newcastle venues including The Annandale, The Basement, The Sandringham, The Vanguard, The Hopetoun and The Excelsior.
In addition to the regular live shows, Simon toured Japan, France, Germany, the UK and Spain in 2005 in support of his debut release.
Alongside his live performances, Simon has been featured as a live studio guest on ‘Arvos’ on FBi 94.5FM, ‘AcousticA’ on 2SER 107.3FM and has had airplay on over 40 stations across Australia.
